Two Secret Stain Fighters You Need to Keep in Your Fridge! #TipsFromTheMaids

You may not always be able to prevent a spill or stain from getting on your fabric or furniture, you can always be prepared! Keep your fridge stocked with:

Baking Soda: Baking soda is the most gentle of stain removers that will work on virtually any fabric or material, and usually won’t cause damage.

Club Soda: This carbonated beverage is perfect for spot cleaning stains that you need to get out of your fabrics immediately. Because it contains zero sugar and zero coloring, you don’t have to worry about it damaging most upholstered furniture.

These two cleaners pack a powerful punch! For carpet stains like red wine or beer, pour club soda directly on the stain, blot, and repeat. If it’s especially stubborn, blot with cold water, and then sprinkle baking soda and vacuum the area.

For upholstered furniture like couches or chairs, grab paper towels immediately and blot up the stain, do not rub! (This will only push the stain further into the surface) Pour a small amount of club soda on the stain, blot and repeat. If the stain contains grease, sprinkle baking soda on top to help soak it up.
