Sustainability
My Way takes Sustainability seriously.
Being sustainable has taken great precedence in the My Way brand since we opened Maids My Way in 2016. We have continued to research new practices, products and technology to reduce our carbon footprint within the environment. Through eco friendly products, recycling, and sustainability acts we have been able to accomplish this. In the report below, you will find how our practices save on energy use and some goals we have the upcoming years!
100% LED Lightbulbs
We use LED in both of our buildings. LED lights convert 100% of energy created into light, while incandescents only produce 10%. They also last 25x longer than the common lightbulb, which reduces waste as well. Speaking of waste, LED lights are 95% recycle!
Energy Efficient Practices
Laundered My Way practices remaining sustainable by use of dryer balls. Dryer balls are reusable and cut drying time in half for your load of laundry! This helps with energy use, electric use and gas use. We also have no need for laundry detergent! You read that right… we do not need soap to clean your laundry. Instead we use a Laundry Pro 2.0. This new technology was crated for use on the International Space Station and is recognized as exclusive Certified Space Technology by the Space Foundation. The Laundry Pro 2.0 uses cold water and oxygen based oxidizers to lift dirt away from the fibers of fabric and prevent the growth of oder causing bacteria.
Efficient Routes
Both Maids My Way and Laundered My Way, use efficient routes when driving to and from our business to your house. We plan our routes based on neighborhood distance and try to group neighbors, and subdivisions by proximity. This allows for use of less gas and pollution into the air!
My Way Gives Back
Mismatched Sock Campaign
Laundered My Way is going to host a continuous sock drive. If you have a lost sock, make note during your scheduled pick up time, and we will make sure that the sock gets donated to a charity in need. Our goal for 2020 is to donate 500 pairs of socks! Clothing Donation
Along with your loosely matched socks, if you have clothes or linens that you would like to be donated, please let us know! If you leave those clothes in a trash bag, plastic bag ect, make note and let our drivers know so that we can pick them up! Our 2020 goal for this donation is 1,000 pounds of clothes!
